Farfalle Pasta with Shrimp, Roasted Broccoli, Lemon and Parmesan

Pasta and Pizza· Seafood Quick and easy farfalle pasta with shrimp, roasted broccoli, lots of parmesan cheese, and a creamy lemon dressing made with olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. One of the best things I’ve learned in all my years of making recipes is that you don’t need to spend a whole day to make a delicious meal. There are plenty of quick, shortcut meals you can throw together that will taste great and delight your family. I got some great feedback after posting this creamy lemon farro tuna dish recently so I decided to make another delicious weeknight dinner recipe based on the same creamy lemon dressing. I decided to use farfalle pasta (also known as bowtie pasta) as the grain base and peeled, deveined shrimp in this dish to kee...

Grilled Moroccan Chicken Thighs with Pecan Couscous

These bold and delicious grilled chicken thighs are marinated and grilled with big flavors like garlic, lemon, green olives, prunes, olive oil, and a rich spice blend of paprika, cumin, cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric. Serve them with a side dish of couscous studded with chopped pecans, olives, prunes, and sunny lemon. This post is sponsored by American Pecans. This summer will feel like a different season for all of us, but there’s one thing that can happily remain the same: grilling. From June through September, I grill just about every fresh food I can get my hands on—from meats to fruits and veggies—and thankfully, I don’t think that’ll change just because we’re in the midst of a pandemic. These Moroccan grilled chicken thighs with pecan couscous have already set the sea...

A Not-So-Great Father’s Day with the Greatest Dad

One of the most important parenting lessons I’ve learned is: You have to let go of expectations. It’s good to make plans and try to stick to routines but it’s crucial to be flexible and not be attached to perfect outcomes. I was reminded of this important lesson on Father’s Day. We had plans to make pancakes for breakfast, make Daniel his homemade card as he slept in, go for a walk as a family, and order Daniel’s favorite Indian take-out. What we ended up doing was a lot more disappointing. I usually wake up around six to the sound of James jumping in his crib over the monitor. The familiar “bounce, bounce, bounce” sound of the springs are what welcome me to the day and even if I’m tired, James is so happy in the morning that I can’t help but be in a good mood. Sometimes he sa...

Bizarre Ways To Diet That People Really Try (Part I)

A time existed when the concept of exercise (for women) in Pakistan was to either wipe the floors (taaki as you might call it) or hitting your butt against a wall repetitively to reduce its size (true story) but “dieting” as we know it today was a not so popular topic back then. Our burhey buzurg when hearing of dieting they start telling us of their time and how these “modern diets” are ridiculous and a waste of time. But in the 21st century no matter how advanced we get we still do some pretty strange stuff in the name of diets. We, at Nutright, care about you and your health so we bring you a list of diets that are as weird as they sound and what is even weirder; is that people claim to practice them for real! (DISCLAIMER: DO NOT TRY THESE AT HOME.) The Blood Type Diet Science has prob...

6 Reasons Why Belly Fat Is Stubborn!

Struggling hard enough to tone your body but still can’t button your skinny jeans because the belly fat just won’t go? Everyone’s problem that’s hard to face! In the domain of weight reduction, nothing might be more slippery, or more wanted than a level stomach (particularly with well-defined abs). However, stomach fat can be among the most unshakable fat on your body. Many individuals locate that even after they’ve thinned down in their legs, arms, and hips, their tummy fat remains there. More terrible yet, the more seasoned you get, the harder it can be to influence midsection to fat disappear. Truth is advised, you can’t “spot-treat” gut fat. Disposing of your gut swell is critical for something beyond vanity’s purpose. The best way to at last lose it is by losing muscle versus fat ever...
What I Love This Week

What I Love This Week

Welp, I’m sad to say that our sweet little guy was sick again this past week. James had a high fever on Monday and then it slowly lowered over the course of the week. Likely another viral illness, maaaybe Roseola, because he did develop a slight rash at the end of the week, although we have no idea where he would be catching it from because he hasn’t been around any other kids in months. Has your kiddo had Roseola? He seems to be all better now, so hopefully that is the last illness for a while. Like all parents, I just hate seeing my boy feeling cruddy. What I Watched This week Daniel and I watched Hamilton…twice. We’re head over heels in love with it (and hey we’re only about 5 years late to the Hamilton craze, but whatever). We’ve been streaming the soundtrack ever...

5 Exercises In Bed That Can Tone Your Arms

Don’t you just hate getting out of bed on a weekend and that too, for an hour’s worth session of sweat and sore muscles? Congratulations, you are one of the 90% of us Pakistanis who are determined to stay fit, yet absolutely fail to make an effort to make that happen most of the times. And while for many of us, the real problem lies in the abs that are nowhere even near ‘toned’, the desi built that we inherit doesn’t always gift us a pair of well-toned arms. With biceps carrying blobs of fat that keeps on spreading everywhere, so many of us let our self-esteem be put at stake just because we think our arms aren’t made for those classy looking cap sleeves on that slim fit saaree blouse seen in a showcase. Now either you can give up on that outfit completely thinking there’s no way you can e...
